    Tribalism has both negative and positive role to play in modern society especially in the frican context,In the negative context tribe can be used to deny communities access to resources and development,leading to protracted conflict, positively tribe can be used to harness the strengths that exist within a particular community and hanessing the positive while reccognising and mitigating against the not so positive attributes of the tribe for posterity and generational survival .
